LKI Golkar – Strengthening the organizational structure down to the village level, increasing the capacity of cadres, and accelerating digitalization are key parts of the Golkar Party’s strategy for the 2029 elections.
Deputy Chairman of the East Indonesia Region PP of the Golkar Party DPP, Emanuel Melkiades Laka Lena, explained the agenda for strengthening the organization in the Technical Coordination Meeting (Rakornis) for the Election Winning of the Golkar Party for the East Indonesia Region at the Claro Hotel, Makassar, South Sulawesi, Friday (16/10/2026).
In the material presented, organizational consolidation was positioned as one of the foundations for ensuring party readiness for the election stages. Structural strengthening is not only directed at the provincial and district/city levels, but also down to the village level.
The coordination meeting also emphasized the importance of transforming political communication to strengthen the relationship between party structures and the public, by utilizing information technology and data management.
Structural Consolidation Targeted for Completion by the End of 2026
One of the agendas listed in the recommendations of the Coordination Meeting is to strengthen the consolidation of the Golkar Party organization down to the village level no later than December 31, 2026.
This step is accompanied by the restructuring and institutionalization of volunteer legislative candidates, as well as members of the House of Representatives (DPR) and Regional People’s Representative Councils (DPRD) within the party structure. Golkar faction members at the central, provincial, and district/city levels are also encouraged to play a role in helping achieve this consolidation target.
Organizational strengthening will go hand in hand with increasing the capacity of cadres through political education, provision of information on election regulations, leadership development, and understanding of regional development issues.
In the Eastern Indonesia Party’s strategic plan, consolidation and cadre development are part of the effort to build a solid party institution. Structural readiness is considered crucial to support coordination, program implementation, and ongoing monitoring of the organization’s work.
The coordination meeting also places data-based monitoring and evaluation as an instrument to measure program implementation, identify obstacles, and formulate recommendations for improvement periodically.
Data Digitization and AI Utilization Are a Focus
In addition to organizational consolidation, Golkar is pushing to accelerate the digitization of its administrative database down to the village level. This step is part of organizational management preparations, as well as mapping potential voters and preparing witnesses at polling stations.
